First off, I would like to thank all the members who have stepped up to the plate and agreed to join our
Committee groups. I am happy to see we have members who are willing to go one step further than just paying dues and wearing a T shirt. There is more to having a successful organization than just "showing up". The more everyone chips in the easier the job of making our club something we can be proud of becomes.
We still are looking to fill a few slots t
hat could use your help.

Seargent At Arms

This position will entail:
Making sure the meeting rooms are reserved (show up early)
Making sure the tables/chairs are arranged before the meeting starts
Placing Board Member nametags in place
and putting the room back when the meetings are over
Making sure everyone signs into the meetings
Making sure that meetings remain orderly and respectful to all members
You're the Top COP in our organization

Membership Committee Members

I would like to see a small group formed to build our membership numbers
I kind of envision some people to manage information tables at our events
Handing out flyers and answering questions for potential members
Finding a way to make our meetings more fun and interesting through
50/50 raffles
Membership contests
Interesting speakers
Managing a free exchange table at meetings (books, spare parts, videos, Etc.)
Investigating and nominating Members for Member of the month or Member of the year
Any other ideas we a can cook up to make our membership more engaging.

PLEASE
Step up and do your part to help us make YOUR CLUB successful and hopefully grow the organization. None of these committee assignments will be real time consuming or hard physical labor at the most a couple of hours a month and your assistance might stop someone from burning out and leaving the club.
Committee meetings can be held the same day as the membership meetings and should take about an hour to get everything in line. Most have never served on a committee before so it will be a learning experience as we launch into the process.
